Job summary These posts would ideally suit somebody who has previous experience of Psychiatry, or those without but who want to try out Psychiatry prior to CT1 application. The Trust will help appointees with their application for Speciality Training. The Education Programmes are mandatory throughout the Trust. These posts offer an excellent introduction to Psychiatry. Posts are appropriate for CT1-3 trainees The Consultant body has a variety of special interests and there are many opportunities for the trainees to look into and further expand their knowledge and experience with discussion with their consultant Main duties of the job Core clinical work (consistent with Royal College of Psychiatry requirements) o The bulk of clinical work will be within a Consultant Led team based at your designated Hospital Site. This is based on Inpatient ward but could also be based in Community mental health teams. o On-call covers the adult in-patient wards and Older Age Wards (>65's), and any Specialty Units (Rehabilitation Units etc), as well as working with the liaison team in A&E.
