The successful Product Development Engineer will be responsible for:
* Analyse existing products to identify areas for improvement and update documentation.
* Propose and approve alternative components for company products where necessary.
* Identify and liaise with suppliers to source suitable materials and products.
* Collaborate with key suppliers and attend market events to stay ahead of industry trends.
* Conceptualise new product ideas and design prototypes using CAD software as required.
* Test products during the design process to troubleshoot potential issues.
* Fine-tune designs to ensure they are production-ready.
* Deliver product specifications and procedures to manufacturing and test teams.
* Produce documentation and provide training for new products.
* Contribute to departmental and business-wide KPI objectives.
The successful Product Development Engineer will have:
* Minimum qualifications at HND or Degree level in Electrical or Electronic Engineering (or equivalent experience and training).
* Experience in Power Electronics Design, Micro-Processor Hardware Design, Micro-Processor Software Programming, PCB Layout Design, and Analogue Circuit Design.
