Qualifications:
* Bachelor’s Degree in instructional technology, marketing, public relations, journalism, visual communications, multimedia design or related field required
* Experience in K-12 public education is preferred
* A broad working knowledge of the school system is preferred
* Ability to demonstrate leadership and communicate with people both within and outside the school district required
Responsibilities:
* Develop and implement social media strategies to enhance the school’s presence, engage with the community, and promote events and achievements across platforms.
* Build and maintain relationships with media outlets, prepare press releases, and coordinate interviews to positively represent the school and manage its public image.
* Craft and disseminate internal and external communications, including newsletters, announcements, and updates, to keep all stakeholders informed and engaged. Build out a district-wide communication plan that covers internal and external communication processes.
* Oversee the school’s website content, ensuring it is current, accurate, and engaging; manage updates and enhancements to improve user experience.
* Create and execute marketing strategies to attract prospective students and families, including promotional materials and information sessions. Assist as needed with student enrollment.
* Attend and support major school events, including organizing and managing communications to ensure successful execution and maximum attendance.
* Develop compelling narratives highlighting student and school achievements, initiatives, and events to enhance community engagement and school pride.
* Collaborate with other departments to provide communication and PR support, ensuring consistent messaging and addressing any specific needs that arise.
* Assist in developing and executing communication plans for emergency situations or crises, ensuring accurate and timely information is conveyed.
* Foster positive relationships with parents, students, and community members, actively seeking feedback and addressing concerns to strengthen school-community relations.
* Assist the central office with enrollment processes, answer phones, welcome guests, and perform other administrative duties as assigned by the superintendent or designee.
