Job Purpose Fully utilise all relevant systems e.g., SmartForce/Oracle Entering data onto Oracle. Follow safe HR policies, highlighting any areas of risk to the Transactions Team Leader. Adhere to standard operating procedures within the team and maintaining accurate and up to date documentation. To support the Team Leader in providing a comprehensive and effective HR Shared Services function to the Force through the effective management of workloads, monitoring of performance and the provision of timely, advice & guidance and quality data. Answering service requests/enquiries and ensuring the customer is updated throughout the process and having the ability to escalate to the wider team and management when necessary. We will support you to: An in depth understanding of the roles and responsibilities involved in working within Merseyside Police. Knowledge of the systems used, to effectively complete your role to the highest standard at all times. A sense of teamwork, gained through working alongside and supporting colleagues from all levels, within the organisation. Knowledge & skills/experience: CIPD level 3 is essential and experience of working in a Shared Service Centre environment is desirable. NVQ Level 2 in Customer Services or give a commitment to undertake these qualifications. The post holder must possess good analytical skills with the ability research and produce accurate and relevant data in order to facilitate the provision of performance management data. A good understanding of a HR Shared Service working environment, with the ability to adapt to change, challenge where required and use initiative to improve service provision. It is ideal that the post holder has previous experience in a HR related environment with experience and knowledge of HR processes and procedures and supporting legislative frameworks to enable correct advice and information to be given to all customer groups. The post holder must possess good interpersonal skills and good oral and written communication skills in order to communicate effectively with both internal and external customers. Must be IT literate with an ability to use MS Office applications, experience and understanding of HR related IT systems to monitor and ensure high levels of accuracy and data integrity of these systems.
