What skills and experience we're looking for
We are looking to appoint a full-time Key Stage 1/currently Year 2 teacher to join our warm, welcoming and successful school.
The contract will begin on 1st September 2025 but the actual working start date is Thursday 4 th September 2025.
We welcome applicants from all stages of their career development from ECT upwards. For ECTs, we have a comprehensive package with Potentia and a nominated mentor in school to support. For more experienced teachers, we can offer opportunities to develop subject leadership skills or the opportunity to gain one of the qualifications through NPQL if relevant.
The successful candidate will demonstrate a love of teaching, be an outstanding classroom practitioner and be committed to the school’s ethos of high expectations, high standards, teamwork, creativity and positive relationships. You should also be a nurturing teacher as well as someone who is willing and eager to join in the wide range of enrichment activities that we offer our pupils. What the school offers its staff
We pride ourselves at Anthony Bek (Ofsted ‘Good’ June 2022, Ofsted Good 2017, Ofsted Good 2012) as having many unique attributes, such as our rewards scheme or enrichment offer, and we are fortunate to have lots of outdoor space and facilities.
We are a one form entry school with a minimum of one teaching assistant in every class. Pupils of Anthony Bek take pride in their work and demonstrate very effective learning behaviours.
Visitors to our school always comment on how calm our school is, how well behaved our pupils are in school and how friendly everyone is. Equally, when we take pupils out, we always get extremely positive feedback about our groups from the venues themselves and from members of the public.
