About Options Fife Lochwood Park
Aberlour Options Fife - Lochwood Park service, based in Kingseat, is a supportive home for a young man with complex needs. Our service provides a safe space for both the young person and their family to spend meaningful time together. While the role involves managing behaviours that challenge, it is the small daily progress of our young person that makes our work rewarding. We are seeking a patient and understanding individual to join our small team, as these are key skills for this role.
What we are looking for....
Ideally, you will have experience working in residential childcare and possess the confidence to guide and direct care provision for our young person.
During your shifts, you will take a lead role, mentoring and supporting staff, and serving as a role model to deliver excellent care. You will assist in assessing, planning, and delivering services, taking responsibility for ensuring assessments and interventions are prepared, monitored, and evaluated.
Engaging positively with our young person and their family, you will plan and implement appropriate support. Good written communication skills and the ability to effectively use Aberlour’s recording system, Dynamics, are essential for accurate reporting.
This role offers opportunities to build on your experience and enhance your skills through training, such as in Dyadic Developmental Practice.
As part of the management team, you will ensure shift duties are delegated and completed according to service guidelines. The role involves working 2 x 7.5-hour shifts per week as part of a residential rota, including overnight sleep-ins with an awake night staff member.
At Aberlour, we aim to ensure every child and young person receives the love, support, and opportunities they need to reach their potential. We seek individuals who embody our values of Respect, Innovation, Integrity, and Challenge in their practice, and who are comfortable working in an environment where these values are lived daily.
What we offer...
Alongside a supportive team and excellent training opportunities, we value and reward our employees with generous annual leave, a comprehensive pension scheme, and discounts across various retailers.
Aberlour is committed to safeguarding and the welfare of all service users, employing a thorough recruitment process including PVG Scheme checks to uphold this commitment.
Applications must be submitted by midnight on Sunday 11th May 2025.
