Typical shift as a flexible bank worker:
* As a support worker, you will help to develop customers' independence by helping to achieve the goals, aspirations, and outcomes documented in support plans.
* You will quickly become familiar with services, customers, and service teams. You will alert management teams when something doesn’t feel right in line with key policies.
* Cuppas, chats, and catch-ups. There’s no rushing from one customer to the next here.
* You’ll manage the health and safety of the building, patrolling to check fire doors, making sure everything is locked and secure.
* If there is time, you’ll also help us make sure that everything is clean and tidy.
* There is so much more involved than just (night working), stuck in an office monitoring CCTV or patrolling the premises.
* You will be required to think on your feet and manage situations on the spot, which could include investigating suspicious activity or raising the alarm when we need to engage the emergency services.
* Raising safeguarding alerts to Home Group teams is paramount as a support worker and/or concierge.

You bring:
* Enjoyment working with a range of customers.
* Flexibility to work at short notice, as you’ll be the one picking your next shift.
* Experience of working with customers with complex needs is highly desirable across both support worker and/or concierge.
* Competence in working in Ofsted Young People Service is highly desirable.
* A positive, can-do, and caring attitude, with the desire to learn to continue making a difference to customers' lives.
* Previous experience of working with support plans, recording, and using information concisely and effectively is welcomed for this role.
* If you are a real people person and are confident working in different services, locations, and teams, then this is the job for you.
If you hold a skilled worker visa (sponsorship), you are unable to work in this role due to the terms of your visa.

Job details:
* No personal care is required for this role. It’s about supporting customers with support planning to reach their goals and aspirations as well as keeping customers and buildings safe.
* We have a strong footprint in Newcastle, Gateshead, and North/South Tyneside.
* You will gain lots of experience working in different services and locations.
* We will set you up to succeed from the start. You will be expected to join our training academy so you can hit the ground running.
* Able to use technology for creating and updating support plans, doing mandatory learning, and keeping in touch with colleagues.
* You’ll need an Adults and Children’s DBS check done and we pay for that.
