Post: Catering Assistant
Contract: Permanent part time 12 hours per week
Working Hours: Tuesday, Friday and Saturday from 10am-2pm
Salary: £7,844.00 per annum (full time equivalent £24,402.92)

We are looking for a friendly, passionate, conscientious and enthusiastic team player to join our busy CafeBar team. As Catering Assistant you will deliver a vital role assisting with the day to day operations of our contemporary CafeBar. As Catering Assistant at the Hub, you will deliver a vital role in the daily operation and smooth running of the Hub’s CaféBar, working with a small dynamic team to deliver a high-quality food and drink service.
Summary of what you’ll do:
1. Provide friendly and prompt customer service that enriches the visitor experience at the Hub.
2. Ensure the smooth and efficient running of the CafeBar including, serving drinks to a high standard, maintaining stock levels, delivering routine checks, cleaning and washing up.
3. Ensure the CaféBar is safe, clean and presented to the highest standard at all times.
4. Prepare and deliver the Hub’s daily menu of hot & cold drinks and food, ensuring compliance with food safety law.
5. Take orders and payments ensuring accurate cash handling, and complete daily cashing up procedures.
6. Support the delivery of events including, setting up rooms and banqueting tables, and helping to prepare buffets and catering.
7. As directed by the duty management, ensure all routine health and safety checks are completed and environmental health requirements are fully met.
8. Be present and alert during opening hours to ensure the health and safety and comfort of all visitors, reporting any problems to the Duty Manager.
9. Undertake training and CPD as required.
10. Undertake any other duties consistent with the role and as requested by management.
