Alexander Steele have partnered on an exclusive basis with an award-winning premium food business. The business supplies their high-quality products into some of the UK’s most prestigious hotels, restaurants and food service establishments.
To play a vital role in nurturing and expanding our relationships with key customers in your region. You will be responsible for driving profitable sales growth and increasing customer satisfaction by building close relationships with our customers.
Key responsibilities:
* Manage a portfolio of existing key accounts across all channels, building strong and lasting relationships with key decision-makers.
* Develop and execute comprehensive account plans for each key account, outlining strategies to achieve sales growth, average order value growth, increase share of menu, and enhance customer satisfaction.
* Conduct regular business reviews with clients to assess performance, identify needs, and develop solutions to fulfil their requirements.
* Working closely with the business development executive and procurement, proactively identify and pursue new business opportunities within existing accounts, expanding product offerings and identifying areas for growth.
* Work closely with Business Development Executive to ensure efficient order processing, accurate data management, and timely customer communication.
* Maintain a keen understanding of key commodity prices to be able to quote customers accurately, balancing our internal costings with the latest market trends.
* Build and execute a comprehensive engagement plan for all key customers.
* Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all client interactions and activities within the CRM system.
* Build and maintain a robust sales pipeline of new opportunities, ensuring these are accurately forecasted and updated in the CRM system.
* Represent the business at industry events and customer meetings where required, promoting the company's products and services and building brand awareness.
Experience and skills required:
* Proven track record of success in a HORECA account management role, ideally within the food industry.
* Experience in managing and growing key accounts, with a demonstrated ability to exceed sales targets and build strong customer relationships.
* Experience in dealing with hospitality customers is highly desirable.
The role is field based, covering Scotland.
