Their services deliver environmental protection, enhancement and restoration through ecological mitigation, habitat improvement and environmental monitoring. A specialist of choice, Our client delivers innovative, sensitive, and compliance-focused solutions across all sectors.
Their work can range from river restorations, river re-alignments, floodplain reconnections, habitat creation and fish passes.
Role Overview:
The Site Manager will be a part of the Habitats Team delivering a variety of environmental enhancement projects including, river restoration, fish passage, ecological mitigation, and restoration works from concept through to delivery. To support the team with the smooth running of the Habitats projects on a daily basis including delegating work to site technicians and liaising with managers on all aspects of delivery. The Site Manager will typically manage one project at any given time which could be located anywhere in the UK (see site list for specific projects). The projects typically are 2 months long.
Principal accountabilities
• Assist with RAMS to ensure they are fit for purpose and up to date.
• Responsible for ensuring the team is working on directed tasks and train when needed
• Ensure successful delivery of the physical project task
• Responsible for all Health and safety, quality, and environmental compliance and complete Point of Work Risk Assessments (POWRA) as required
• Ensure all project-specific paperwork is followed and complied by
• Support in the development of new members of the team and mentors to upskill
• Help Managers problem-solve new challenges
• Handle work allocation and delegate to the team advising on delivery methods as required
• Responsible for own work and ensure high standards are maintained
• Carry out compliance check on behalf of Managers

• Comfortable working on or near water and near or around plant machinery
• Have previous experience in a similar role or field
