IT Support Engineer
We are a leading IT and Telecoms Managed Service Provider, offering innovative solutions to businesses across various sectors. We are looking for a skilled and motivated IT Support Engineer to join our team, providing high-quality support to our clients both remotely and on-site.
Key Responsibilities:
* Maintain and support Microsoft Server environments, Active Directory, Microsoft 365, Entra, SharePoint, DNS, DHCP, and Group Policies.
* Configure, manage, and troubleshoot networking infrastructure, including TCP/IP, routers, switches, VPNs, and firewalls.
* Set up, configure, and manage virtualized environments using Microsoft Hyper-V.
* Troubleshoot and support Windows 10/11 systems.
* Setup and configure WIFI Access Points.
* Implement VPN solutions for secure remote access.
* Provide remote support using industry-standard remote access tools.
* Travel to and from client sites for troubleshooting, maintenance, and deployment of new equipment.
* Perform system upgrades, installations, and security updates.
* Manage and check data backups, monitor servers for disk space, and review event logs for errors.
* Provide excellent customer service and communicate effectively with clients.
* Participate in on-call rotations and provide after-hours support as needed.
Requirements:
* Must have own car and a clean UK driving license.
* Proven experience in an IT support role.
* Good knowledge of Microsoft Server, Active Directory, Microsoft 365 (including Entra and SharePoint).
* Solid understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, routers, switches, VPNs, firewall management).
* Experience with virtualized environments, particularly Microsoft Hyper-V.
* Exposure to VEEAM backup solutions and UNIFI products.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* Willingness to occasionally work out of hours, including weekends and travel within the UK or abroad.
* Excellent troubleshooting skills and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
* Strong customer service and communication skills.
Desirable Skills:
* Experience working in an MSP environment.
* Certifications such as CompTIA, Microsoft, or Cisco are beneficial.
* Exposure to VoIP and telecoms solutions.
