What you’ll be doing:
* Contribute to ICS Dimensionalteam leadership when required – Including people managementwherever required, resource management, workflow management, andworkload signoff
* Perform high end calibrations& repairs on a wide variety of Dimensional test, measurementand diagnostic equipment (TMDE) including maintaining andincreasing capability, and capacity through investmentprojects
* Deliver and measureeffectiveness of specific on the job training/experiential learningto ICS Dimensional team members andapprentices/graduates
* Design, review, and approvecalibration procedures and measurement uncertaintybudgets
* Take part in a range of Qualityaudits (including UKAS/ISO 17025), achieving UKAS signatorystatus
* Drive increase in issue ofUKAS/ISO 17025 accredited parameters and certificationissue
Your skills andexperiences:
Essential:
* Extensive experience working ina precision Dimensional Calibration/metrology laboratoryenvironment
* Understanding of qualitysystems & standards (ISO 17025/ISO 9001)
* Relevant academic qualification(STEM Degree, HNC/HND) orequivalent
Desirable:
* Existing UKAS signatory statusfor Dimensional Calibration
* Knowledge in creation ofmeasurement uncertainty budgets to ISO 17025level
* Demonstrable use of automationsoftware (PC Dimis, Fluke Metcal, Met/Track, Met/Teams,Labview)
* Experience in Mechanical,Electrical, Temperature and other engineeringcalibrations

The ICS Dimensionalteam:
The Calibration department currently supports 30,000pieces of equipment per year, ranging from traditional analogueequipment through to state-of-the-art digital systems. ICSDimensional Laboratory focuses on the calibration, maintenance, andrepair of TMDE capable of making length, flatness, parallelism,surface roughness, angular, optical, screw gauge (1D) and CMM (3D)measurements. ICS Dimensional consists of around 8+ team members.ICS Dimensional sits alongside various other teams within theoverall Calibration department, consisting of 50+ team members. Weoffer relocation support packages across all Submarines roles,subject to meeting eligibilitycriteria.
