PORTWEST, a leading global manufacturer of safety wear, workwear and PPE is currently seeking applications for the position of Customs Compliance Coordinator, reporting to the Portwest Customs Manager to be based in Thurnscoe, UK. JOB SUMMARY: As a Customs Compliance Coordinator, you will be responsible for managing a range of administrative tasks relating to the export of Portwest products from the UK. As part of the role, you will support the export administration team and global customers to ensure customer orders requiring export licence are exported in compliance with Government guidelines and appropriate records are maintained. You will also have the opportunity to develop your knowledge and experience of global goods movement and customs import/export best practice. OVERVIEW OF DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: Liaise with the export administration team to identify exports requiring license Liaise with the goods out team to manage dispatches of certain shipments, where required Manage any license applications for importing or exporting goods in and out of the warehouse, where required. Support export admin and goods out team with daily tasks Provide instruction to freight forwarders Obtain copies of export entries for specific shipments and retain in filing system Maintain accurate records of customer undertaking forms and obtain and store records of all goods movements Develop and utilise knowledge of international goods movements Work closely with internal and external stakeholders effectively Complete and monitor export license applications on the Governments SPIRE system Ensure customer undertaking forms are complete and live DESIRABLE KNOWLEDGE: Knowledge of international goods movement and customs import/export Knowledge of HMRC Custom procedure codes required Knowledge of AEO - Authorised Economic Operator accreditation required Knowledge of Customs Warehousing and Bonded goods required.
