Are you looking for an opportunity to draw on your experience working with families and children? Join our team undertaking child contact supervision in our Child Contact Centres in Haywards Heath and Hassocks as well as the wider Sussex community. We are looking for candidates who live locally and are able to work some hours weekly on a Sunday. There may also be the opportunity to work additional days, subject to your availability and our needs.
What is supervised child contact?
Child Contact venues provide children with the opportunity to spend quality time with their parent and/or relative in a safe, neutral space. We also help facilitate contact sessions in the Sussex community. The children we work with may be living with a parent, an extended family member, or foster carers. As a child contact supervisor, you would be sitting in on these sessions, observing and writing reports afterwards.
Do I need good regular availability?
Yes, we need candidates with regular availability at weekends as families would be allocated to a contact supervisor who needs to cover their sessions, which can run weekly, fortnightly, or monthly.
These are employed roles but due to the demand-driven nature of our work, all positions are Zero-Hour Bank roles, with no minimum weekly hours guaranteed, as frequency of sessions varies according to each family.

Where would I be working?
Candidates must be willing to work at both our contact centres in Haywards Heath and Hassocks and in the Sussex community. You do get paid travel time and mileage for all community work, but not for working in our Child Contact Centres. This role can involve child transport so you must have a car and be willing to undertake this; it will require adding business use to your car insurance.
