We need a Quality Manager for a £53,000 to £58,000 Company based in Hemel Hempstead, a High-quality aerospace, precision machining company. You will manage, oversee and implement all required Quality Systems and supporting processes to ensure compliance with business, regulatory and customer requirements. Key activities: Manage and maintain current Regulatory Approvals (AS9100, ISO9001 & Nadcap) QMS Maintenance (Quality Manual and Procedures Manual). AS9100 Compliance and awareness. Lead Audit Activity Lead external audits (Customer & Regulatory) Manage and maintain and oversee Internal Audit Program. Manage and maintain current customer Quality Requirements. Support the onboarding of new customers. Updating and maintenance of customer compliance matrix and desktop audits. Maintain Training Records and Internal Stamp Approvals register. Customer point of contact relating to Quality related queries/issues. Processing of customer returns using key quality tools such as: 8D Problem Solving, 5 Why process mapping. Application of key quality tools such as: 8D Problem Solving, 5 Why process mapping, FMEA and PPAP including the support of other associates in their use. Monitor and analysis of manufacturing performance through Statistical Process Control (SPC) & Gauge R&R etc. Produce and report (External) Customer Quality KPI’s Produce and report Internal Quality KPI’s (Daily Management and Monthly Reports). Managing a team of up to six inspection personnel. Attend and Support Daily Management (Review/Record KPI’s) Support NPI process including PPAP, PFMEA and DVI processes when requested by customer contract. Support site lead with the completion of Management review process. Support Purchasing Lead with monitoring and maintaining Supplier Quality Performance. Monthly maintenance/review of the supplier (ASL) Approved Suppliers List. Prepare (Quality) Induction Packs for new starters. Manage internal calibration system/schedule. Promote quality awareness throughout the organisation by coaching. To lead and participate in regular Quality Clinic investigations. Flexibility to travel within the UK when required. Skills & Knowledge Able to accept responsibility day to day with minimal supervision. (Key) Analytical skills and methodical approach to problem resolution and investigation. Knowledge of Quality & Continual Improvement tools such as: FMEA, Gauge R&R, 8D, Process Mapping, 5 Why’s, Ishikawa etc. (Key) Knowledge of Statistical Process Control experience. (SPC) Effective time management. Preferences(Things that make it easier to do the job) Knowledge of AS9100 & Nadcap (PRI) requirements. Knowledge of PPAP, PFMEA and DVI processes would be advantageous Experience Minimum of 5 Years experience of Quality Management in an AS9100 environment. Experience of Internal auditing to AS9100 & ISO9001 Commercial awareness & professionalism. Experience of managing a team of Inspectors would be advantageous. Experience of First article inspection in line with AS9102 requirements. Experience of Aerospace and/or precision manufacturing industry. At least 5 or more year’s experience preferably in Aerospace. Preferences, Experience of AS9100, ISO 9001 and Nadcap (PRI) would be advantageous.
