Job Overview
The Policy and Public Affairs Officer is a strategic role that offers an exciting opportunity to make an impact on healthcare policy on a national scale.
Key Responsibilities
1. Develop and communicate the College’s core policy messages.
2. Engage with governments, NHS organisations, and other healthcare bodies across all four nations.
3. Oversee responses to policy consultations.
4. Prepare policy reports and statements.
5. Conduct research to help the College understand and influence the shape of the surgical and dental workforce.
Qualifications
The postholder must be an enthusiastic and experienced policy or public affairs professional with:
1. Excellent communication skills and a demonstrable ability to produce high-quality written work.
2. Educated to a minimum degree level.
3. Proven policy and analytical experience.
4. Strong team working skills.
5. A self-starter attitude with the ability to manage workload with minimum supervision.
6. A high level of professionalism and diplomacy.
7. A willingness to take on new challenges and be receptive to change.
