Senior Quantity Surveyor - £73k - £77k
Due to Continued Growth & Success, our Client are currently looking to add a Senior Quantity Surveyor to their team, they are very well established within the Building & Civils sectors and have a proven track record of delivering quantity surveying and commercial management services across this industry.
This is an exciting opportunity as a Senior Quantity Surveyor to become part of a growing business and play a key role in helping shape company strategy and direction.
Key Responsibilities:
* Managing commercial functions for multiple and often complex projects.
* Preparing internal commercial reports and other necessary documentation
* Valuations and payment applications with supporting documents as per the contract, as well as cost reports for clients with all required supporting documentation
* Preparation and oversight of subcontract and material procurement schedules
* Management of subcontractor/supplier accounts, from detailed requisitions to the authorisation of payments and final account agreements.
* Contract administration, change management, and maintaining registers
* Identifying commercial risks and opportunities, and implementing value engineering and change.
* Prepare tender and contract documents.
* Liaise with clients, Tier 1 & 2 contractors, and subcontractors to ensure project budgets are maintained and variations are managed effectively.
* Identify potential financial risks and opportunities to maximise profitability.
* Prepare and present cost reports, cash flow forecasts, and final accounts to senior management.
* Ensure compliance with contractual requirements and project timelines.
* Assist in the procurement of subcontractors and suppliers, negotiating favourable terms.
* Production of monthly cost and value reports, quarterly forecasts and cash-flow information and present them clearly and concisely to directors.
* Advise on and help lead the commercial strategy in project discussions / reviews.
* Responsible for ensuring all managers and key interface areas within the business are fully briefed and have the level of support to monitor and react to budget variances.
* Build and maintain relationships with the client and supply chain.
* Responsible for ensuring commercial, administrative systems, budgets and cost control procedures are in place and operated correctly across all contract operations.
The successful candidate will maintain the highest professional standards have knowledge & experience at managing both internal and external stakeholders, experience with NEC and JCT contracts, Confident to present to Clients, excellent negotiation skills, educated to Degree level, hold RICS accreditation, CEMAR knowledge essential.
