ACS International Schools are seeking to appoint a committed, driven and inspiring teacher of Physical Education & Sports Science to join our school community from August 2025 (Head of Department responsibility is available for the right candidate)
The Candidate:
The successful candidate will be joining a team that aims to develop students who have a lifelong love of physical activity and whom possess the knowledge and desire to lead a healthy & active lifestyle. With a focus on Empowering every individual to develop personal attributes which will support a happy & meaningful life.
This candidate will have experience teaching Sports Science at IBDP, A-level, or equivalent, and the ability to lead our IBDP Sports Science provision. This candidate would be invited to apply for an open Head of Department position if desired.
They will have the ability to coach more than one of our core co-curricular sports to a high standard, with expertise in Basketball, Volleyball, or Tennis being an advantage, but not an essential requirement.
The successful candidate will have the ability to create an inclusive and supportive learning environment, whilst using flexibility and adaptability to meet the diverse needs of students. Commitment to professional development and ongoing learning is essential.
The Department and School:
The Physical Education & Sports Department is a positive and dedicated team, consisting of eight full time members of staff, complemented by a strong team of peripatetic coaches.

Knowledge, skills, and experience required:
* Bachelor's degree/Bachelor of Educatio
* A teaching qualification (PGCE/QTS/Teaching licence/certification or equivalent)
* 2 or more years of post-qualifying teaching experience to relevant age groups
* Strong IT skills, preferably with Apple products
* Demonstrates consistently high standards of personal and professional conduct
* Fluent in English both verbal and written
* Significant experience and willingness to integrate technology to improve teaching and learning
* Experience of teaching in an international school is desirable but not essential.
