About the Role:
* Deliver engaging and challenging PE lessons to Key Stage 3 and 4 students, focusing on developing athletic skills, teamwork, and sportsmanship.
* Plan and deliver lessons that incorporate a variety of sports and physical activities, including team sports, individual sports, and fitness training.
* Assess student progress through practical assessments, fitness tests, and written work, providing detailed and constructive feedback.
* Contribute to the development and implementation of innovative teaching strategies within the PE department, staying abreast of current sports science and training techniques.
* Organize and lead extracurricular sports activities, school teams, and sporting competitions, promoting student engagement and athletic excellence.
* Collaborate with colleagues to promote a culture of physical activity and well-being throughout the school community.
Ideal Candidate:
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with a strong background in Physical Education and a specialization in female sports.
* Experience teaching PE to Key Stage 3 and 4 students, with a proven ability to inspire and motivate young female athletes.
* Proficiency in a range of sports and physical activities, with a focus on female-specific sports.
* Excellent communication, interpersonal, and coaching skills.
* A strong commitment to promoting healthy lifestyles and empowering young women through sports.
