We’re seeking a qualified Plumber with multi-trade experience who can provide top-notch service to our customers while enhancing our reputation in the communities we serve. This role is a 6-9 month FTC covering long-term sickness, as part of our reactive team, you’ll play a key role in maintaining our 16,000 homes across the South East. About the Role As part of Paradigm’s Direct Labour Organisation (DLO), you’ll work independently on a range of plumbing tasks, from repairs and diagnostics to reactive maintenance, ensuring a first-time fix approach wherever possible. You’ll bring a customer focused mindset to every interaction, consistently delivering high-quality service while adhering to safety protocols and our customer care standards. In this role, you’ll have everything you need to succeed. We’ll provide a fully stocked van (fuel card included), all necessary tools, and a tablet for managing your schedule, so you can focus on what matters, delivering excellent service. Key Responsibilities: Plumbing and Maintenance: Complete day-to-day plumbing and maintenance tasks to a high standard, aiming for a first-time fix wherever possible and meeting target response times. Documentation: Maintain accurate records and promptly complete all necessary documentation per company procedures. Customer Care: Provide courteous, professional service that aligns with Paradigm’s commitment to customer care, positively representing the company in all interactions. Health and Safety Compliance: Follow health and safety procedures, completing risk assessments and adhering to safe working practices. Resource Management: Ensure effective use of materials, maintain adequate van stock, and handle company assets responsibly. About You To thrive in this role, you’ll need strong plumbing expertise, particularly in domestic repairs and fault-finding, with a proactive approach to keeping customers informed and satisfied. Your organisational skills and commitment to high standards will support Paradigm’s goal of delivering a ‘first-time fix’ service. As a front-line representative of Paradigm, a friendly and professional manner is as essential as technical skill. Essential Requirements: Relevant City & Guilds (Part 1 & 2), NVQ2, or equivalent experience Apprentice trained or a minimum of 5 years experience as a plumber Familiarity with building codes, safety standards, and maintenance regulations Full clean UK driving licence Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written Ability to work flexibly, on your own initiative, and as part of a team Nice To Haves: Experience of working for or with a Social Housing organisation or Local Authority.
