This South Warwickshire charity is looking for a new Chief Executive Officer to work with the Board of Trustees and senior leadership team to lead the organisation through the next strategic phase, reshape the strategy, and ensure all aspects of our work are laser-focused on achieving the vision.
The CEO will report to the Chair of Trustees and will have delegated accountability for the vision, strategic development, and direction of the business to ensure continued growth and success. They will have the ability to lead and inspire the Leadership Team to plan, monitor, and deliver services effectively and, in conjunction with the Board of Trustees, will ensure the highest standards of governance are implemented. They will represent the organisation externally and enhance our reputation and business developments with key stakeholders.
This is a very exciting time to be joining the organisation as they seek a CEO to help shape and drive the organisation.
The role as CEO is not just one of running the organisation, but of changing people's lives and is a role with limitless opportunities for the right candidate.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Lead the day-to-day operations of the business, implementing the strategic decisions and ensuring organisational objectives are met.
2. Represent the organisation in all public matters, fostering strong relationships with external partners and stakeholders, including professional bodies and local government.
3. Ensure the Charity's financial sustainability, including effective budgeting, forecasting, and resource management.
4. Lead and develop the organisation's staff, promoting a collaborative and supportive culture that encourages professional growth and operational excellence.
5. Strive to ensure that the organisation has governance systems in place that enable it to consistently fulfil its legal, statutory, and regulatory responsibilities.
6. Collaborate with the Board of Trustees, attending all Board and sub-committee meetings, providing regular updates, strategic insights, and recommendations. Provide support to the Board of Trustees in ensuring proper governance processes are operated throughout the organisation.
7. Identify potential risks and challenges and ensure effective systems, processes, and procedures are in place for mitigation.
As the successful candidate, you will demonstrate:
1. Proven leadership experience at an executive or senior management level, ideally within a not-for-profit, although other backgrounds would be considered.
2. Strong governance and organisational management skills, with experience working with trustees or a similar governing body.
3. Strong strategic thinking, decision-making, and problem-solving skills, including foresight for future planning, adaptability to change, and the skill to build strong relationships.
4. Excellent financial acumen, with a track record in managing budgets, forecasting, and organisational risk.
5. A clear, articulate communicator with experience engaging with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders.
