This exciting opportunity within the Quality Assurance department of the Royal Derby Hospital involves maintaining the quality standards in line with those outlined in "Quality Assurance of Aseptic Preparation Services" and EU GMP Annex 1.
This is through the testing of the aseptic manufacturing areas of pharmacy, including Nuclear Medicine. Testing performed includes microbiological, physical air quality, and temperature monitoring testing of all pharmacy units.

Hours of work will be Monday to Friday.
The Quality Assurance Section within Pharmacy is looking to recruit two Senior Assistant Healthcare Scientists (one full time and one part time post) on a permanent contract, primarily based in the Pharmacy Quality Assurance Laboratory and Pharmacy clean room environments.
This is an exciting development opportunity for the right person who will have a good general education to GCSE level including English, Maths, and Science subjects and be willing to train in microbiological testing, microbiological plate reading, and clean room monitoring.
You will carry out quality control testing (microbiological and physical), temperature monitoring, and quality assurance validation work. You must have a basic knowledge and understanding of Health and Safety, keyboard skills, and demonstrate effective use of initiative and the ability to work to protocols and procedures.
Full training and support will be provided.
