CLCH Academy has partnered with The University of Hertfordshire to deliver the Registered Nurse Degree Apprenticeship (Shortened APL route). The academic programme lasts for 20 months and will commence in January 2025.
During the program you will gain a wide range of clinical nursing skills in a variety of areas, while also undertaking a degree in nursing, leading to registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Council as a Registered Nurse - Adult.
We are seeking candidates who have completed a Nursing Associate programme previously with the University of Hertfordshire, who are eligible for the academic Registered Nurse Degree Apprentice programme.
Applicants must have experience of between 3 to 6 months at Band 4 level within a Nursing Associate, Assistant Practitioner, or equivalent role, to access this programme.
Applicants will need a keen interest in working in our Adult Nursing services, and for the duration of their apprenticeship will be based with one of our integrated locality teams.
The Registered Nurse Degree Apprenticeship attracts a Band 4 salary. On successful completion of the apprenticeship, you will move into a Band 5 Registered Nurse role.

Start date of the apprenticeship: Jan 2025
Interview dates: provisionally set for Early November 2024
Applicants may start working on a mutually agreed date prior to the commencement of the formal programme in Jan 2024, in order to complete local induction and gain some experience working in the community nursing team.

UK recognised certificate in English and Maths Level 2 (functional skills level 2 or GCSE (or O level) grade C or 4 and above).
The completion of a foundation degree in health care (Nursing Associate)within the last 4 years.
A Letter of support from your current Line Manager to confirm your readiness for the programme.
Any overseas qualifications will need to be accompanied by a UK NARIC statement of comparability, with evidence of this in your application.
Overseas candidates must have been in the UK for a minimum of 3 years and any visas must have an expiry date later than July 2026.
NB: Kindly note that without these requirements you will not be shortlisted; certificates must be presented during the interview.
