We are currently recruiting for a Senior/Principal Building Services (Mechanical) Engineer to join our team in Billericay, ENG.
Salary: £65,000 - £85,000 per annum, depending on experience and qualifications.
About the Position:
* You will work closely with the Engineering Associate/Director on a regular basis, reporting weekly on progress.
* You will ensure all projects are completed to a high technical standard, on time and on budget.
* You will assist more junior staff with technical queries as appropriate to your knowledge and experience.
* You will carry out fee-earning work, getting involved in design of schemes where appropriate and particularly where high-level technical expertise is required.
* You will undertake feasibility studies as required.
* You will meet with clients to establish project brief and budget costs for client consideration.
* You will draw up detailed specifications and drawings against client's briefs.
* You will review tenders received and prepare tender reports and recommendations.
* You will project manage site works from commencement to completion.
* You will monitor site works against specification requirements and agree contractor's final accounts.
* You will carry out inspections of existing installations and submit condition reports.
* You will check and prepare information for fee invoicing each month.
* You will manage day-to-day workload of individuals reporting directly to you, ensuring clarity of their roles, motivation of the team and wellbeing of individuals.
* You will advise director and partners on resources required, assisting at interview stage.
* You will develop the client base of the Practice by being proactive in pursuing marketing opportunities that arise and to pursue marketing initiatives as directed.
Job Requirements:
* You should have experience using Amtech (Electrical) or IES (Mechanical) software.
* You should have experience using AutoCAD and Revit.
* You should be familiar with relevant legislation, codes of practice, CIBSE guides, building regulations and best practice and environmentally sensitive.
* You should have a Degree/Master's degree in Mechanical or Building Services Engineering.
* You should be a member of the Chartered Institute of Building Services Engineers and/or The IET (or equivalents).
* You should have Chartered Engineer status or approaching.
