We are excited to be recruiting a Psychological Therapist to work in our innovative service in Suffolk: the Mental Health Support Team (MHST). MHSTs are based within education settings, ensuring children and young people receive faster access to earlier mental health support. You will provide clinical supervision and expertise to the team. You will work closely with the Clinical Team Manager and Clinical Lead in the team to support the clinical delivery of the service.
This role will be based with our Central Suffolk MHST, which covers schools in Stowmarket, Stowupland, Hadleigh, East Bergholt and the surrounding area.

Main Duties of the Job
In this role, you will be responsible for providing a high-quality service to children and young people (and their families) experiencing mild to moderate mental health difficulties, through early intervention and offering the right support at the right time. You will work across a range of education settings.
You will be responsible for overseeing and delivering clinical supervision of the team. You will use your clinical skills and experience for direct delivery of evidence-based interventions to support children and young people referred to the service. You will need to utilize skills and knowledge of CBT and child and adolescent mental health practice. You will also implement whole school approaches to mental health through collaboration and coproduction with the school community.

You need to subscribe when you have applied for your DBS clearance and there is a time limit to subscribe of 19 days after receipt of your DBS disclosure. Please ensure that this is completed within the set time scale.
This update service is an annual subscription at a cost of £13 to you. This will enable the Trust to have instant online access to your DBS record, with your consent, and so will remove the need for you to have to apply for this repeat check again.
