We are partnering with an innovative client in the food and drink industry currently in an exciting phase of growth and development. They are seeking a Technical Manager to join their team and take on a pivotal role in driving quality, food safety, and technical excellence across their product range.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced professional to step into a leadership role where they will be instrumental in shaping the technical strategy and overseeing all quality and safety processes. Reporting directly to the Technical Director, you'll lead a dynamic Quality and Technical Team dedicated to ensuring the highest standards in food safety and compliance.
Key Responsibilities
-Ensure all products meet customer and industry standards for food safety and quality, fostering a commitment to excellence.
-Oversee, develop, and grow the site's Technical and Quality teams, driving a high-performance culture through effective leadership and guidance.
-Partner with the Technical Director to develop and execute a strategic vision for the technical function.
-Manage all aspects of internal and external audits, including BRC and retailer-specific standards, ensuring full compliance and readiness.
-Develop and manage the internal audit program to meet quality assurance objectives and regulatory requirements.
-Oversee all technical training initiatives, ensuring team members are proficient in safety, compliance, and technical best practices.
Qualifications & Experience
-Demonstrated experience in a similar Technical Manager role within the food and drink sector.
-Experience working directly with retailers is essential, with a strong understanding of retailer standards and requirements.
-Deep understanding of BRC standards, HACCP principles, and food safety regulations.
-Strong track record of building, developing, and leading teams with a focus on fostering growth and continuous improvement.
-Flexible, with product experience in food and drink manufacturing.
Salary - £60,000 - £70,000 (Dependent on Experience)
