A Project Manager for Deploy Project Services is a coordinator of fit-out & deployment services for our clients. They must be highly organized individuals, excellent communicators, planners, presenters, and team players working closely with our professional partners including architects, technical engineers and general contractors. They brief, coordinate and monitor output of all team members to ensure that each project, whatever scale or level of complexity, gets planned properly, that on site activities are executed accurately and safely and that all key project stakeholders continue to view the Deploy team as a critical tactical partner for future retail growth.
Project Managers are responsible for:
# Communication - Inform client & internal teams about project details, planning, timing and financial status.
# Project Coordination - Provide input, assign roles and tasks to external parties, collect output, present to clients and team members from conception to completion.
# Project reporting - Regularly report on project status and finance, including minuting all key meetings.
# Health & Safety - Ensuring each project is delivered to CDM regulations and necessary requirements in market
# Project Lifecycle - Managing the full life cycle of the project; from conception to close out and final accounts.
# Budget – Tracking and communicating the project spend. On Site - Overseeing the onsite teams including contractors and fitters at a appropriate stages of the project.
# A minimum of 5 years’ experience in project management specific to the delivery of retail fitouts preferably with high end brands.
# Experience with complex projects requiring structural alterations, permitting and approvals.
# Comprehensive understanding of an end-to-end PM process, as well as fit-out and construction methods in the retail interior environment.
# Experience with seeing projects through from conception to completion as the lead project manager, preferably in a PM agency or a GC company, or as a client representative.
# Excellent communication skills dealing with persons of all levels in the delivery process from feasibility, through design, bid out, construction and close out. Sound ability to filter and report critical information relating to budget, time, quality and risk management.
# Ability to learn local market nuances, requirements and needs to deliver projects successfully as part of the delivery team.
# Able to travel globally with the required flexibility this will demand.
# Experience with utilising online platforms for the distribution of information, reporting and tracking of documentation.
# Provide practical solutions to drive the project forward, adding value and exceeding the clients’ expectations.
# Software:
o Advanced computer literacy required
o OmniPlan or MS Project proficient
o Advanced level of MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Sharepoint & Teams
o Experience with AutoCAD at a basic level for sketch drawings and overlays
o Experience with BIM collab for marking up drawings and notifying team members of actions
Languages:
o English – advanced written and verbal level required for daily client communication
o Other languages advantageous
o Self motivator, happy to work from home
o Comfortable with flexible working hours (to cover different time zones)
