Job Description:
This job is responsible for building and leading a team to deliver technology products and services that meet business outcomes. Key responsibilities include developing a technology strategy, ensuring technology solutions comply with applicable standards, promoting design, engineering, and organizational practices, and advocating and advancing modern, Agile solution delivery practices. Job expectations may include coaching, mentoring, providing feedback and hands-on career development, identifying emerging talent, fostering leadership skills, and managing stakeholders.
Responsibilities:
* Builds and manages teams by performing financial activities to inform workforce strategy and hiring practices, setting and tracking maturity and quality objectives, and training employees/teams to address feedback and achieve quality and performance objectives.
* Facilitates performance and career development of employees/teams through performance reviews, coaching, and creating development plans that are needed to build competencies and skills.
* Manages solution delivery and application performance in production (app health, resiliency, performance, security, enterprise data management standards, audit exams and reviews), ensuring all relevant risk, financial, and compliance policies are met.
* Manages relationships with business and technology partners and leads and creates followership in Communities of Practice in the organization.
* Contributes to the technology strategy for their technical domain.

Position Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and visionary Senior Technology Manager, UI Engineering and Strategy Leader to drive the strategy, innovation, and execution of agent-facing experiences within our Contact Center Technology team. This leader will be responsible for overseeing a team of UI engineers, defining the future of UI frameworks and tools, and ensuring seamless integration across multiple agile teams. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in front-end technologies, a strong architectural mindset, and experience in building scalable, high-performance UI solutions in a large enterprise setting.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Leadership & Vision
* Define and drive the UI strategy for agent-facing experiences in the contact center.
* Lead innovation through concept development and proof-of-concepts (POCs) for emerging UI technologies and agent enablement tools.
* Collaborate with senior leadership to align UI strategy with business goals and technology roadmaps.
Technology & Architecture
* Own and enhance the common UI framework, ensuring consistency, scalability, and efficiency across contact center applications.
* Drive best practices for UI development, including performance optimization, accessibility, usability, and security.
* Evaluate and integrate modern UI frameworks and tools to enhance agent productivity and customer interactions.
Team & Execution Leadership
* Lead and mentor a team of UI engineers, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and technical excellence.
* Provide technical guidance and direction to agile teams on UI development, architecture, and implementation.
* Ensure alignment with agile development processes, collaborating with product owners, designers, and backend teams.
Collaboration & Stakeholder Management
* Work closely with multiple agile teams to deliver UI components and solutions that enhance agent workflows.
* Partner with UX designers to translate wireframes and prototypes into high-quality, interactive experiences.
* Engage with business stakeholders to understand agent needs and translate them into actionable UI initiatives.
Required Qualifications:
* 10+ years of experience in UI/front-end development, with at least 3+ years in a leadership role.
* Expertise in modern UI frameworks (React, Angular, Vue.js, etc.), strong knowledge of JavaScript, TypeScript, HTML5, CSS3, and responsive design principles.
* Understanding of API integrations (REST, GraphQL) and micro-frontend architecture.
* Familiarity with performance optimization techniques, accessibility standards, and security best practices.
* Exposure to cloud-native UI development in environments like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
* Experience leading cross-functional teams and managing UI development in an agile environment.
* Strong ability to define technical roadmaps, align with business objectives, and drive execution.
* Excellent communication skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders and present UI strategies.
Desired Qualifications:
* Experience in banking, fintech, or large-scale enterprise contact center environments.
* Knowledge of AI-driven UI enhancements or conversational UI for agent assistive technologies.
* Experience with design systems and UI component libraries in a large organization.
