Electrician (Water Industry) We are seeking a skilled and experienced Electrician to join our clients team based in Glasgow, specializing in projects within the water industry. Based in Glasgow, this role involves working on various sites, carrying out both installation and maintenance tasks. You will play a crucial part in ensuring electrical systems and equipment function efficiently, safely, and in compliance with industry standards. Electrical Installations: Install electrical systems, panels, and components for water treatment facilities, pumping stations, and associated infrastructure. Carry out testing, commissioning, and certification of new installations .Maintenance Work: Diagnose and repair faults in electrical systems and equipment. Perform routine maintenance on control panels, motors, and instrumentation. Ensure minimal downtime and maintain system reliability. Compliance and Safety: Adhere to industry regulations and company safety standards at all times. Ensure all work complies with BS7671 wiring regulations and other relevant legislation. Maintain accurate records of work completed, including inspection and testing documentation. Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with project managers, engineers, and other trades to ensure seamless delivery of projects. Provide clear updates on progress and any potential issues encountered during work. Required Qualifications: NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation or equivalent. Valid 18th Edition Wiring Regulations certification (BS7671). City & Guilds 2391/2394/2395 or equivalent for inspection and testing is highly desirable. Experience: Proven experience working in the water industry or similar environments. Experience with pumps, control panels, instrumentation, and SCADA systems is advantageous. Skilled in both installation and maintenance tasks, with a strong troubleshooting ability. Additional Requirements: Full UK driving license. ECS Gold Card or equivalent.
