Payroll Administrator We're currently recruiting for a Payroll Administrator to join our HR Shared Services Payroll & Pensions Team. This role will be a Subject Matter Expert in payroll administration and will work collaboratively within the team to process the payroll data for both weekly and monthly paid colleagues. Location : Rushden, Northamptonshire, with occasional travel to the office required (once a week) Hours : 37.5 hours per week – some flexibility on hours available if desired, just let us know when you speak to us Contract : Permanent, full-time and able to consider part-time opportunities Responsibilities As a Payroll Administrator, your day-to-day responsibilities will include, but not be limited to: Answering complex queries from all stakeholders effectively and within service level agreement. Processing of payroll data for allocated payroll within the agreed timetable deadlines Upskilling, knowledge share and cross-training of team members to enable them to cover for holidays and any peak workloads e.g. TUPEs. Escalating any concerns to the senior or team manager, so that appropriate discussions can take place with the business as per the terms of the service level agreement. Supporting pensions and other shared services functions as required. Periodically testing and demonstrating results in respect of system changes to ensure the HR system remains compliant in respect of payroll. What are we looking for? This role of Payroll Administrator is great for you if you have: Previous experience within Payroll administration. Strong communicator verbally and written. Strong time management, organisation, and prioritisation skills. Proficiency with MS Office, particularly a high level of Excel knowledge. Strong attention to details, with an ability to work on complex issues within tight timescales.
