The Education Access Team takes responsibility for arranging education for pupils out of school for exclusion, medical or other reasons. The Education Access Officers work closely with schools and other professionals to:
Support alternatives to exclusion
Support and challenge schools around statutory processes relating to exclusions and Fair Access admissions
Support schools to educate pupils with medical conditions which impact on their attendance at school
Ensure vulnerable pupils are admitted into new schools speedily through the local authorities Fair Access Protocol
You will have a professional background where you have line managed staff and taken a lead to develop initiatives / projects. You will take a leading role within the team for the development of policy and practice in a specific area of the team’s work.
Applications are invited from highly motivated, enthusiastic and hardworking individuals to join our successful Education Access Team for the role of Education Access Officer. The team consists of a Team Manager, two Access Officers and three Outreach Officers.
There are two positions one full-time and a 0.5 part-time position. Please indicate your preference on your application.
