Vita Healthcare is seeking a dedicated Practice/Site Manager to oversee the daily operations of our Bexhill practice. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in working within GP practices, ensuring efficient workflow and providing exceptional patient care. This role requires excellent organisational skills, effective communication, and the ability to lead a team in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
Responsible for the smooth, efficient and safe management of the practice, primary health care team and services to our patients, ensuring a happy, strong and committed team.
1. Provide leadership and manage development, implementation and monitoring of effective and efficient systems for the partners in a supportive role.
2. Coordinate adequate medical & administrative cover and cost-effective staffing to run the surgery.
3. Responsible for Personnel and Health and Safety Management, ensuring compliance with all statutory and legal requirements.
4. Assist with preparation for inspection visits (H&S and/or CQC).
5. Ensure compliance with certification requirements (Loler, Riddor, COSHH, Legionella).
6. Maintain up-to-date and relevant notice boards.
7. Organize Patient Participation Group meetings.
8. Order supplies, consumables, and equipment as needed.
9. Oversee back office workflow alongside the office supervisor.
10. Manage data breaches and report as necessary.
11. Manage, report, and audit Significant Events.
12. Handle complaints, investigate, and ensure resolution.
13. Complete reports/records in a timely manner.
14. Attend Governance/ops/partners/team meetings.
15. Assist the Executive Operations Manager with any workload.
16. Oversee GP/Clinicians holidays and staff requests for annual leave.
17. Manage GP and clinicians appointment book.
18. Interview potential/new staff members.
19. Liaise with infection control leads and monitor cleaning standards.
20. Manage access and demand patterns via Edenbridge Apex.
21. Liaise with recall team regarding nursing schedule and recall.
22. Manage remittance/invoices through the Finance Manager.
23. Oversee development/appraisals and grievance procedures.
24. Conduct Health and Safety walk rounds and audits.
25. Ensure all practice teams complete their responsibilities.
26. Maintain an open door policy for staff.
27. Ensure effective communication internally and across sites.
28. Implement and continue the Well-being programme to support staff welfare.
29. Ensure staff are IG trained and monitor data protection adherence.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: From £15.00 per hour
Expected hours: 37.5 per week
