Role Responsibilities
1. Develop and implement computer vision and AI algorithms for missile and sensor systems
2. Create solutions that improve situational awareness and provide target guidance using imaging sensors
3. Design and develop algorithms for image processing, including techniques like segmentation, noise reduction, and super-resolution
4. Use Matlab/Simulink and Python (including PyTorch for deep learning) to build, test, and refine algorithms
5. Apply advanced techniques in tracking, optical flow, particle filtering, and pose estimation
6. Contribute to the development of inverse problems/computational imaging methods such as sparse coding and compressive sensing
7. Implement and optimize machine learning models, including support vector machines and neural networks
8. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to integrate algorithms into complex defence systems
9. Support signal processing tasks related to multi/hyper-spectral, RF, IR, SAR, and STAP technologies
10. Conduct rigorous testing and validation of algorithms to ensure performance in operational environments
Key Experience & Qualifications
1. A PhD (or in the process of completing one) in Computer Science, Physics, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field is preferred.
2. A degree with strong mathematical content e.g. Mathematics, Engineering (e.g. Aeronautical, Mechanical, etc), Physics, Computer Science, or similar
3. Knowledge of a range of algorithms, techniques and processes.
