Position: SEN Teaching Assistant

About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join a reputable secondary school in Horsham. The successful candidate will collaborate with teachers and support staff to provide tailored support to students with special educational needs, ensuring they can access the curriculum and reach their full potential.
Responsibilities
* Provide in-class support to students with special educational needs.
* Assist in developing and implementing Individual Education Plans (IEPs).
* Adapt and differentiate lessons in collaboration with teachers to meet SEN students' needs.
* Support students' social and emotional development.
* Help create a safe, inclusive, and nurturing learning environment.
* Collaborate with parents, teachers, and external agencies to support student progress.
Requirements
* A genuine passion for education and working with young people.
* Experience working with children with special educational needs is desirable.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Patience, empathy, and a positive attitude.
* Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
