Job Description
1. Develop and implement strategic financial plans.
2. Provide expert financial advice to senior management.
3. Oversee the preparation of annual budgets and financial forecasts.
4. Ensure compliance with financial regulations and standards.
5. Monitor financial performance and report on variances.
6. Manage and mentor members of the finance team.
7. Participate in the development of financial policies and procedures.
8. Support the continuous improvement of financial management processes.
The Successful Applicant
A successful Principal Accountant should have:
1. Local Government experience.
2. Professional accountancy qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent).
3. Excellent knowledge of financial management principles and best practices.
4. Strong leadership and team management skills.
5. Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities.
