Job Description:
Are you a driven, high calibre, talented and ambitious SPECIFICATION SALES PROFESSIONAL with experience in promoting interior products with a network of connections, relationships and a proven track record of success dealing with Architect and Interior Designers, Design & Build + Fit-Out Companies, Main Contractors and Flooring/Subcontractors?
If so, we are working with a Leading Manufacturer of highly sustainable and design led FLOORING SOLUTIONS who are seeking to recruit an ACCOUNT MANAGER to join their already well-established team with responsibility for promoting their full products and solutions in the above outlined geographical region.
The Role:
To promote our client's high quality, market leading range of Sustainable Floor Covering and biophilic solutions, mainly via D&B, Fit-Out, Flooring Contractors and Architects & Interior Designers for projects that are focused and driven towards the Commercial Office, Health, Education and Hospitality & Leisure sectors by raising awareness, generating sales and over exceeding agreed targets and customised KPI's whilst working closely with other members of the team both internally and externally to ensure business growth in line with European and Country strategy.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Develop, gain buy-in to, and implement an area specific business development plan in order to proactively identify and target agreed growth and development opportunities.
2. Maintain and develop relationships with existing customers at all levels of the customer hierarchy, in order to provide support and develop awareness of the benefits and uniqueness of their products, services and offers/campaigns, and identify the decision makers.
3. Develop and implement plans and actions for identifying or reactivating customers and setting up new accounts.
4. Identify, monitor, report and record all sales opportunities so that they may be converted into sales, to maintain and improve market share.
5. Collaborate with colleagues with integrity on projects which are interconnected across territory lines, support each other and communicate proactively to ensure you are in the best position to win business.
6. Sell and influence the sale of all products and services within pricing guidelines and monitor sales levels to ensure business mix whilst ensuring billings targets are reached or exceeded.
7. Identify market and competitor information and feed it back to the business in order to ensure market requirements and competitor developments are incorporated into marketing and NPD plans.
8. Understand customer requirements for sustainability in order to spot opportunities for the sale of sustainable products and services and engage customers with their sustainability story.
9. Complete administration on time so that accurate analysis reports can be prepared for use in measurement of progress and forward planning.
Key Performance Indicators:
1. Budget target (Bonus)
2. Number of new/reactivated buying A&D & Contractor accounts created (and developed) (Role specific - More details provided upon appointment)
3. Billings and/or market share growth with existing customers
4. Average Selling Price
Knowledge, Skills and Experience Required - ESSENTIAL:
1. To be considered Candidates MUST be located AS CENTRALLY AS POSSIBLE IN THE TERRITORY WITH A PREFERENCE OF BEING BASED IN THE ESSEX AREA and have an excellent working knowledge of who's who and the inner ways and workings of the Design & Build, Fit-Out, Main & Flooring Contractor and A&D Community.
2. To be considered Candidates MUST have at least 5 years' experience promoting an interior design led product or service offering along with an in-depth understanding of the specification sales cycle, sustainability & biophilic design.
3. To be considered Candidates MUST have a strong network of relationships and connections within the Flooring Contracting and A&D fraternity and any close working relationships with Fit Out / D&B Contractors and End Users would also be highly advantageous.
4. Experience of long-term project selling cycles.
5. Evidence of stability and success in similar previous roles.
6. Must have a growth mindset and must be a business development driven field sales professional.
7. Team player.
8. Full driving license.
9. Computer literate (to include Excel).
10. Entrepreneurial profile: High motivation, dynamism and autonomy to develop your own business on the specified territory, with methodology and constant focus.
11. A natural networker, at ease with building relationships at all levels, and identifying the decision makers.
12. A person able to grow the existing customers and conquer new customers accelerators.
SALARY & BENEFITS:
HIGH BASIC SALARY (UP TO £65,000 D.O.E) + 30% OTE + LOW TAX ELECTRIC or HYBRID CAR + FUEL CARD + PENSION + HEALTHCARE + MOBILE + LAPTOP + COMPANY CREDIT CARD + 25 DAYS HOLIDAY
