The role involves preparing monthly management accounts, forecasts and budgets for Plastics, with the opportunity to get involved with other areas of the business. You will be: Producing accurate monthly management accounts delivered to tight deadlines together with sound analysis and investigation of underlying reasons for variances for multiple commercial business units. Analysis of Gross Revenue/Net Revenue trends, analysis of Price and Volume variances and ensuring accurate revenue recognition within financial statements. Financial reporting and forecasting to various stakeholders on a monthly basis. To be based at our Dagenham site and interaction with operations to ensure efficiency, consistency and business development objectives are achieved. To provide support to our business operations in preparation of annual budgets and forecasts. Working with detailed financial models in order to project and forecast accurately. Completion of balance sheet reconciliations on a monthly basis and ensuring stringent controls are in place. You will have interaction with key operational and sales staff to analyse commercial tenders and margin analysis. Analysis of fixed asset register and preparation of any business cases. Provide support to annual audit processes. What we're looking for: A qualified ACCA or CIMA Accountant with experience in management accounting is essential, preferably experience within the waste industry, haulage, retail or B2B services sector Experience in industrial/commercial management accounts preparation and reporting would also be advantageous. IT literacy, including at least intermediate skills with Excel and Google Sheets are required, and any exposure to Workday is also highly desirable. Financial problem solving and analysis skills. Organisational skills and the ability to work to strict deadlines. Accuracy and attention to detail. Strong interpersonal skills are required to liaise confidently with other parts of the business An individual with excellent communication and interpersonal skills to provide industry-leading customer service to all internal and external customers.
