In North Wales we are very excited to be growing our CAMHS Services. Our Band 6 CAMHS Practitioner posts are open to candidates who are skilled in mental health assessment, risk assessment, and delivering interventions to support emotional wellbeing and mental health. Experience of working within children and young people would be advantageous. All employees are offered a structured induction and development plan to support clinicians to develop their skills to deliver the best possible outcomes for children and young people.
Conwy and Denbighshire is a beautiful part of the country with diverse landscapes ranging for from countryside to coast to mountain ranges. The central location has a mix of rural areas and larger towns. We are also within an hour of cities such as Bangor, Chester and Liverpool.
Main duties of the job
You will work both individually and as part of a team in carrying out Choice and Partnership work under the Care and Programme Approach (CAPA) model and will likely be involved in different areas of CAMHS according to the needs of the service.
To provide assessment and intervention and / or specific evidence based therapies to children and young people with mental health problems and significant mental health disorders.
Provide consultation and support to front line professionals in understanding and supporting children / young people and families through providing training, advice and direction in addition to the delivery of early intervention programmes
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.

Essential
* Relevant professional Qualification and Registration: NMC registered MH Nurse, NMC registered LD Nurse, SCW/Eng registered Social Worker, HCPC Registered OT, HCPC registered Practitioner PSychologist
* Eligible to practice under the mental health measure Wales 2010. .
* Post grad diploma or relevant knowledge, training and experience in the specialist field acquired through specialist training and on the job experience.
* Excellent knowledge of mental health problems and disorders
* Excellent knowledge of family dynamics and issues relating to working with families
* Understanding of relevant therapeutic approaches
* Knowledge and appreciation of national policies
Desirable
* Additional formal qualification in a recognised therapeutic approach
