Pay Rate: £49.00 per hour PAYE
Hours per week: 37 Monday – Friday, normal working hours
Role Length: This opening assignment is for 3 months

We are seeking a very experienced individual to be the case officer for one of the Borough Strategic sites allocated for approximately 1,800 homes, as well as retail and commercial floorspace. The applicant has indicated that they intend to submit this application in late 2024.
The post would suit someone with a strong track record of dealing with major development schemes or proven experience in delivering large scale development. The successful candidate will be responsible for the day-to-day management of this project, working closely with key stakeholders, both internal and external.
The successful candidate will need to demonstrate appropriate experience of dealing with Public Inquiries, negotiation on large scale development, and the ability to shape a scheme to ensure that quality development, together with supporting infrastructure, is delivered on this important site. Given the importance of this site to the borough, the role will report to the Assistant Director.
Qualifications:
1. MRTPI qualification.
Skills & Experience:
1. Minimum of 12 months recent experience in a similar role or context, ideally within a public sector organisation.
2. Significant experience working on large scale residential development, preferably in development management.
3. Strong team working skills.
4. Experience of Public Inquiries.
5. Excellent project management and organisation skills.
6. High level communication and presentation skills, including clear, concise reporting and correspondence, particularly concerning complex or controversial issues.
7. The ability to communicate with people of different social, economic, and professional backgrounds.
8. Attendance at evening and other out of hours meetings and events when required.
9. Strong IT skills, including Microsoft packages or equivalent (e.g. G Suite, Mosaic).
Full UK driving licence required for this role.
