As a Social Worker, you will report to the Team Leader and play a crucial role in assessing the needs of individuals, providing support and guidance, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality care. Your responsibilities will include:
1. Conducting assessments and reviews to determine appropriate care and support
2. Collaborating with individuals, families, and external agencies to develop care plans
3. Safeguarding vulnerable adults and promoting their well-being
4. Providing advice, information, and advocacy to empower individuals to make informed decisions
5. Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records in accordance with relevant legislation and guidelines
To excel in this role, you should possess the following skills and attributes:
6. Qualified Social Worker with relevant professional registration (e.g., HCPC)
7. Experience in adult social care, preferably within a local authority setting
8. Sound knowledge of relevant legislation, policies, and procedures
9. Strong assessment and analytical skills, with the ability to make evidence-based decisions
10. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a compassionate and empathetic approach
