The Role
As Executive Director of Property and Assets, you will:
* Lead the development and implementation of Moat’ long-term asset management strategy, delivering safe, high-quality, and sustainable homes.
* Oversee property services, including responsive repairs, planned maintenance, and major refurbishments, ensuring excellent standards and value for money.
* Drive sustainability initiatives, incorporating energy-efficient practices and innovative solutions into property management.
* Ensure compliance with housing regulations, health and safety laws, and Moat’ professional standards.
* Optimise the performance of assets by managing investment, addressing underperforming properties, and identifying regeneration opportunities.
* Lead and develop the Property Services team, fostering a high-performance culture aligned with Moat’ values.
* Build and maintain strong relationships with contractors, regulatory bodies, and external partners to enhance service delivery.
* Provide strategic advice to the Chief Executive and Board, reporting on the performance and condition of Moat’s property portfolio.
About You
To excel in this role, you will bring:
* Extensive experience in asset and property management, ideally within the social housing sector.
* Proven leadership of large property portfolios and high-performing teams.
* Deep understanding of housing regulations, health and safety legislation, and building standards.
* Financial expertise in budget planning, forecasting, and cost control.
* A commitment to sustainability and a track record of implementing energy-efficient solutions.
* Strong stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to build effective partnerships.
* Relevant professional qualifications in housing, property, or a related field (e.g., RICS, CIH, CIOB).
