Pre-commissioning Engineer - (BSRIA Flushing/Water treatment)
Salary: 32-40K (plus company van, fuel card, overtime, pension and 21 holiday days plus bank holidays)
Based on a 40-hour week - paid door to door.
Our client is a rapidly expanding family-owned water treatment company based in the West Midlands, specializing in water treatment and pre-commissioning on new construction sites, refurbishment projects, or sometimes maintenance projects.
This role is for someone with experience in flushing and treating closed systems such as heating, chilled, and cooling systems as part of BSRIA BG29 and BG50.
The candidate will also require a CSCS card for this role. We can assist in obtaining this if there is not one in place already.
Lodging may be required for some jobs, but only a few times a year.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Pre-commission cleaning of LTHW and CHW systems using system pumps or a temporary pump and manifold.
2. Checking & recording flow rates/velocities in accordance with BSRIA BG29.
3. Undertaking back flushing of various units in accordance with BSRIA BG29.
4. Sampling closed systems for laboratory testing and on-site testing of water quality using test kits.
5. Carrying out work in line with BSRIA guidelines.
6. Ensuring work is carried out to site-specific rules and plans.
7. Liaising and supporting clients throughout projects.
8. Strainer cleaning and taking photographic evidence for paperwork.
Additional Skills (Not Essential):
1. Disinfection of hot and cold water services.
2. Main injection disinfections.
3. Tank cleans and boosted water disinfections.
4. Domestic water sample testing.
To apply you must hold:
1. Full UK driving licence.
2. Be able to pass an enhanced DBS.
3. Minimum of 2 years' experience.
4. Ideally based in or around the West Midlands.
