The BBC Flexi Job Apprentice Agency (FJAA) is offering an exciting opportunity to be a Content Creator Apprentice working within the team at CTVC in central London.

CTVC are a unique, multi award-winning independent production company specialising in ethical, moral and religious content across TV, Audio and Digital platforms. They are a super creative and energetic team, and their social media content is essential in making sure that their programming and messaging are shared far and wide. We are excited to build our online audience, and the content creator apprenticeship is at the heart of this.
CTVC have their own selection of in-house brands, targeting different audiences through a variety of medias, as well as producing content for a range of clients including BBC, BBC Education, SKY KIDS, Channel 4, Discovery Channel, BBC World Service, Radio 3 and Radio 4. Working as part of our Digital Team and managed by our Social Media & Communications Producer, this opportunity is a great way to harness your skills and learn from a fast-moving and dynamic team.
This scheme is designed to equip learners with skills to create engaging, impactful, multi-platform content. It covers tasks like planning and developing creative content, researching target audiences, and creating audio, visual or written content suitable for various platforms.
This is an immersive and varied scheme involving practical and interactive workshops, assignments, and group projects. Apprentices will gain planning and creative skills by developing and presenting pitches and proposals, as well as learn how to record and edit their own video and audio content. They'll also learn the basics and best practices of imaging and photography, social media and search engine optimisation, as well as website creation.
Apprentices from this scheme typically move into roles including Digital Marketer, Marketing Executive, Content Producer, and Social Media Management.
Through the BBC’s Flexi-Job Apprenticeship Agency, you will be hired by the BBC and be placed with CTVC for the duration of your apprenticeship. The BBC will work with CTVC and Bauer Academy to oversee your successful completion on the apprenticeship.
An apprenticeship requires full commitment and discipline from the learner. Alongside experiences and training, there is an expectation of wider self-learning and the requirement to meet learning objectives and deadlines, as outlined by the apprentice standards. Apprentices must show the BBC and CTVC that they are dedicated to accomplishing the knowledge, skills and behaviour requirements outlined in their apprenticeship learning plan.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
What will you be doing on the apprenticeship?
• Working with the Social Media & Communications Producer to develop, plan and produce videos, audio, clips and images that support CTVC’s in-house brands, TrueTube and Things Unseen, as well as other programming.
• Supporting the Digital Team to help research and develop social ideas for inclusion in pitches and proposals.
• Alongside the Social Media & Communications Producer, working collaboratively with the production management team to produce content and bring them in on budget and to schedule.
• Research, write and prepare first-draft copy for social media posts that will be signed off by our Social Media & Communications Producer and Heads of Departments.
• Designing documents to be stylish and engaging.
• Re-version visual, audio and written content to be used across a range of social media channels.
• Helping to monitor data and engagement to help understand how content is being used, evaluate campaigns and recommend improvements.
• Storing content securely and methodically in collaboration with the Production Manager and in line with company production workflow guidelines to enable efficient access and retrieval.
• Manage content online using appropriate tools and techniques.
• Undertake continuous professional development to keep up-to-date with trends and technology.
What will you be studying?
You’ll be studying your industry recognised qualification, learning both on- and off-the-job in a and based on the We’ll also give you BBC Academy training, delivered by our experienced trainers.
Typically, you will spend one day a week completing online or face-to-face learning that supports the role and develops your skills, and four days on-the-job at CTVC.

To be eligible for an apprenticeship at the BBC, you must:
1. Be aged 18 or over when the apprenticeship starts on 12th May 2025
2. Live within a commutable distance of central London
3. By the start of the apprenticeship in May 2025, have lived in the UK or European Economic Area (EEA) for a minimum of 3 years
4. Be eligible to work in the UK full time for the duration of the apprenticeship contract
5. Not currently taking part in an apprenticeship scheme supported by the BBC or another organisation.

6. Not have completed or hold qualifications in the apprenticeship subject at the same or higher level
7. Be available for the in-person assessment which will take place at BBC Broadcasting House London on 7th April 2025
8. Be able to start on Monday 19th May 2025.

Towards the end of your apprenticeship:
