We are looking for an enthusiastic, motivated and reliable person to join our friendly practice team. You must be able to work under pressure, adapt in a busy and unpredictable environment whilst upholding patient confidentiality at all times. Your ability to use your own initiative, be flexible and work as part of a team is essential. The successful candidate must have excellent communication, organisational and IT skills.
The role will include dealing with patients at reception and over the telephone, processing prescriptions and mail, booking and cancelling appointments, ‘signposting’ patients to the most appropriate service, dealing with secondary care and pharmacy queries and dealing with related administrative tasks. Experience in medical reception or similar role with knowledge of EMIS/Docman is preferred but not essential as training will be provided. The post is for 25 hours per week Mon - Fri morning / afternoon on rotational basis.
