Stock Controller
Reports To: Logistics Manager
Main Purpose of Role:
Proactively monitor stock levels and manage the warehouse inventory of What More UK Ltd. Measuring and improving the forecasting performance, productivity, efficiency and profitability of department and organisational operations through the provision of effective methods and strategies.
Main List of Activities
1. Working with the Warehouse management team, Production Planner and Logistics to monitor stock levels, forecasts and Promotions
2. Daily checks of storage locations to ensure accuracy of stock movements
3. Checking daily stock requirements from outside storage and organising movements between sites.
4. Reconcile stock movements between locations
5. Maintenance of the Warehouse Management System for accuracy and efficient product placement to ensure deliveries are made on time in full
6. Interrogation of the WMS system to investigate stock movements and discrepancies
7. Undertake routine stock counts, liaise with the Warehouse management team to monitor rotational stock counts, input data and investigate discrepancies
8. Support the Warehouse functions through production of reports and information to measure accuracy of stock movements and identify potential risks
9. Monitor FIFO movements for productivity and report to the warehouse management team
10. Recording of data and accuracy, producing reports and displaying KPI’s
11. Liaise with the Logistics Department to organise priorities including Stock Takes and investigations.
12. Regularly monitor forecasts, measure performance and report to warehouse management team
13. Perform daily analysis to predict potential inventory problems and communicate with relevant parties.
14. Investigating credit claims
15. Analysing and reporting the stock loss / gain position.
16. Communicating with other departments and staff groups.
17. Regular reconciliation of the Chep assets
18. Support the Warehouse Management Team
