Accountability / Responsibilities: Comply with all H&S, risk assessments and safe systems of work. Fully conversant with the following Government documents. Heavy goods vehicle (HGV) inspection manual Guide to maintaining roadworthiness. Contribute to improving guidelines and processes for the department. Work with the immediate and wider teams within the business Tasks: Diagnosing and rectifying all types of fleet faults/defects Preparation and presentation of vehicles and trailers for MOT inspection Complete maintenance work within the RM schedule. Liaising with TP suppliers to attain correct parts. Maintaining a high standard of cleanliness and tidiness. Ensuring all job cards and service sheets are completed in a timely manner, including paper and electronic. Experience/Qualifications Technical qualification (City & Guilds or NVQ qualified technician ) or proven experience repairing & maintaining vehicles / trailers. CE license (desired but not essential) for attending MOT tests at off-site ATF's. Training will be provided to ensure safety, safe working, compliance, business operations, maintenance of equipment.
