Position: Supply Chain Manager\n\nLocation: South Yorkshire\n\nSector: Sports and Leisure\n\nSalary: £50,000 - £60,000 according to experience\n\nThe Company \n\nA designer and manufacturer of equipment in the sports and leisure equipment\nAbout to move to new premises and with plans in place to increase turnover by around 50% Reason for the Vacancy\n\nA newly created position with the aim of freeing up some of the CEO's time to focus on strategy, growth and business developmentAbout the Role\n\nLead the day-to-day business operations & manage the supply chain\nSit on the Executive Leadership Team alongside the CEO and the FD, you will take responsibility for Supply Chain, Production and Manufacturing, Quality, Logistics and Warehousing\nEnsuring that all customers orders are placed accurately and are delivered on time\nEnsuring that all products meet required quality standards\nLeading the team, ensuring that employees remain motivated, trained and fully skilled to undertake their roles\nLiaising with 3rd party logistics partners to ensure availability of transport\nLiaising with 3rd party and partner manufacturers to ensure continued capability and capacity of supply\nEnsuring that the equipment out in the field on customer sites is working as required and taking remedial action as required to correct any issues\nMaintaining Health and Safety throughout the facility at all times\nIdentifying areas for improvement and then leading the transformation project\nProviding performance metrics for the CEO and Board of Directors\nManaging and controlling the Operational Budget to ensure maximum efficiency\nEnsuring that all relevant records and documentation are kept accurately About You\n\nA formal qualification to HNC level or higher\nProven experience of working in a supply chain management role in either a production and manufacturing OR a logistics / warehousing environment\nExperience of importing and exporting products to China\nGood levels of numeracy and literacy, able to read and understand profit and loss accounts\nGood IT skills: experience with Excel is essential and experience with CRM / MRP systems is beneficial\nExperience of continuous improvement or lean manufacturing would be very welcome\nStrong people management skills, a natural leader with awareness of relevant employment law legislation\nIOSH certified\nA solutions provider, not a highlighter of problems\nWilling to roll your sleeves up and get stuck in with whatever needs doing\nCustomer facing with first class interpersonal and communications skills\nAn interest in sport and leisure would be beneficial\nAble to travel nationally and internationally if required (infrequent)\nCar owner driverWhat do we offer?\n\nCompetitive salary between £50,000 and £60,000\n24 days annual plus statutory holidays\nThe chance to work in an SME where you will genuinely have the opportunity to make a difference \n\nAbout Us\n\nWe are dedicated to fostering a diverse and inclusive community.
