To ensure the safety and security of people and property within public areas and other facilities and ensuring you demonstrate and deliver high quality guarding, safety and customer service to both our clients and service users. Information: Position: Duty Shift Manager Location: London (W1K) Pay Rate: £14.49 per hour Hours: Average 42 hours per week Shifts: 4 On 4 Off – Days & Nights Job Requirements: S IA CCTV Licence required SIA Door Supervisor licence required Experience as a Team Leader/Supervisor/manager is required of at least 1 year CCTV Security Experience required Strong IT ability – including Excel, Word, Outlook “computer savvy” Excellent communication both written & verbal Good knowledge of local area Excellent levels of customer service at all times The ability to be pro-active and think on your feet use initiative To have a smart appearance befitting the company Be fully aware of current CCTV policies and data protection requirements Be aware of procedures for granting access to recorded images Job Role: The post holder must, at all times, carry out their duties and responsibilities to comply with policies/procedures. Must be able to make decisions and act on behalf of the Site Manager in their absence Monitor and operate the CCTV cameras and associated equipment in the CCTV Control Room. Follow protocols for maintain the security of the CCTV Control Room and its facilities. Operate a range of remote monitoring, and communication facilities contained within the Control Room. Report any incidents that occur immediately to the Loss prevention and/or report to other relevant agency and provide support/commentary to the Police and/or other relevant agency. Maintain accurate records of data recordings and events, using incident reporting software Participate in personal training and development in order to maintain an understanding of current CCTV legislation and regulation Assist Police in respect of preparation of evidence and other activities associated with attendance at Court as a witness. Provide assistance in displaying and exhibiting the CCTV services to interested parties Participate in team briefings, operator working groups and the Employee Development and Performance Management Schemes to work more closely with management and other agencies in the development and administration of the service At all times the post holder must maintain and respect the security and sensitivity of the service. Comply with the adopted Code of Practice and service operational procedures at times, breaches of which will result in disciplinary action being taken. Any other duties which are equal or similar to the responsibility level and the grade of the post Ensure that tapes/discs are stored securely under the Data Protection regulations and maintain the security of the Control Centre environment. To understand and comply with the requirements of legislation that govern CCTV operations in order to maintain the security and integrity to the CIS Security’s CCTV policy. Ensuring that all work is undertaken in compliance with the operating procedures, current legislation, and the codes of practice. To monitor and operate communication with Security Officers (When required). To manage and organise all onsite duties, so that operational needs are met. Report any non-conformance from Security staff. Write reports for CIS Management Team of all issues faced on shift. Operationally assist and support the Security Team as required - Organise Security to attend to alarm activations and incidents on shift. Ensure a thorough handover is conducted with the Controllers of the previous shift.
