Are you a Registered Nurse working at Band 6 or 7 level with experience in leading a team and looking to further develop your career?
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a highly motivated, dynamic nurse at MFT, to lead and manage our Catheter Labs across 2 sites. The Cardiac Catheter Lab team are responsible for providing pre, peri and post – procedure care to patients undergoing mainly pacemaker, diagnostic and PCI procedures, under both local and general anaesthetic. It operates Monday to Friday, but 24-hour cover is provided by an on-call service.
Main duties of the job
A successful individual must be highly motivated to take on this challenge and meet head on the pressure to maintain high standards and delivery of quality care, whilst leading the nursing team.
The post holder will manage all aspects of clinical standards and professional practice within the service and will manage and coordinate staff budget resources and the environment. You will help shape future services working and supporting the Matron and Lead Nurse within the Cardiac Division.
Substantial experience as a Band 6 within cardiology/cardiac surgery and hold a mentorship qualification is required. You must have excellent communication and strong leadership skills to uphold the standards and values of the trust.
You will demonstrate key leadership and management skills and will be responsible for providing clinical and professional leadership for a team of staff supporting the service, including utilising your leadership and clinical skills to meet the needs of the unit. The implementation of service development in line with the Trust Nursing and Midwifery Strategy and divisional objectives will be key, incorporating work to maintain the quality of the patient experience.
