My client is a global blue-chip organization operating within the supply chain. This Procurement Manager role will be based in Northampton on a 3/2 day hybrid model.
Job Description
* Develop a category management strategy for the procurement function based in Northampton
* Develop and lead a commercial and customer-focused team - approximately 3 direct reports, 7+ indirect reports
* Sourcing and contract negotiation with suppliers (typically low-cost country including Far East)
* NPD focused, ensuring top-tier products are sourced sustainably for customers
* Keep up to date with innovation and market trends
The Successful Applicant
The successful candidate for this Procurement Manager role will have strong leadership experience and qualities. In addition, experience of sourcing within a low-cost country supply base is key. A commercially focused mindset is essential, alongside strong internal and external stakeholder management skills within a matrix supply chain operation.
What's on Offer
The successful candidate will be offered approximately £60,000 - £70,000 plus car allowance, around 15-20% bonus (dependent on business performance), pension up to 12% matched, and family private healthcare. This role will require 2-3 days per week on-site in Northampton.
